48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Manchester, affecting several communities within the Mandeville policing area. The communities impacted include Knockpatrick, Cedar Grove, Heartease, Albion, Tulsa Road, Hillside, Green Street, and surrounding areas.
The curfew took effect at 6:05 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026, and will remain in force until 6:05 pm on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North: From the roadway at Manchester Road at the northern boundary, extending 3015 metres eastward along an imaginary line, to an area of vegetation on the eastern boundary. This boundary is bordered by the Heartease District.
East: From the vegetated area on the northern boundary, extending 6485 metres southward along an imaginary line, to a section of roadway at Patrick Town on the southern boundary. This boundary is bordered by the Edgeware district and Patrick Town district.
South: From the roadway at Patrick Town on the southern boundary, extending 2500 metres westward along an imaginary line, to a section of roadway at Belt Line District on the western boundary. This boundary is bordered by Ellen Street.
West: From a section of roadway at Belt Line District at the western boundary, extending 6527 metres northward along an imaginary line, to an area of vegetation on the northern boundary. This boundary is bordered by the Inverness district and Knockpatrick district.
During the hours of the curfew, individuals within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the person in charge of enforcing the curfew.
