Farmer charged after allegedly slapping teenage girl in St Elizabeth
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police in St Elizabeth have charged a 28-year-old farmer following an alleged assault on a teenage girl in the parish.
Charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm is Anthony Harriott, otherwise called “Frisco” of Abraham District, Santa Cruz.
According to the police, the incident occurred about 9:30 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the Abraham District. Reports are that an argument developed between the two, during which the accused allegedly used his hand to strike the teenager in the face, causing swelling and bruising.
The complainant reportedly fell to the ground during the incident and sustained a cut to the right side of her face after coming into contact with a stone.
The matter was reported to the police.
