Hospitality firms delay financial reports after Hurricane Melissa
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two hospitality companies under the Margaritaville Caribbean Group said on Thursday they will delay the publication of their financial reports after disruptions caused by Hurricane Melissa, pushing back disclosure timelines by nearly three weeks.
The board of Margaritaville (Turks) Limited said the release of its latest financial report has been postponed, with a revised publication date of February 27, 2026. The company said the delay was directly related to the impact of the hurricane, which disrupted operations and reporting processes.
Separately, Express Catering said it will also delay the release of its Q2 2026 interim financial statements, citing similar disruption caused by the storm. The company set the same revised publication date of February 27, 2026.
Both companies said they would seek to publish their respective reports sooner should conditions improve.
Hurricane Melissa passed through parts of the Caribbean in October 2025, disrupting business activity, logistics and administrative functions across several sectors.
