Motorcyclist dies in Negril crash
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — A motorcyclist died as a result of injuries he sustained after his motorcycle crashed into a median in the tourist resort town of Negril on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Craig Brown.
Reports from the police are that about 6:20 am, Brown was travelling along the Norman Manley Boulevard when he lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into the median.
He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Negril police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
As at February 8, 30 people have been killed in traffic crashes. This is six fewer deaths, or 17 per cent lower than the 36 road fatalities recorded over the same period in 2025.
