Police searching for spouse of woman murdered in May Pen
CLARENDON, Jamaica — Police are searching for the common law spouse of a Clarendon woman after she was killed during a reported domestic dispute at the couple’s home on Glenmuir Drive, May Pen Sunday night.
Police identified the woman as 46-year-old Jennifer Williams.
A senior police source told Observer Online that the incident happened about 10:30 pm.
“It seems as if they had some challenges in their common law relationship. A commotion was heard by neighbours last night. The man was heard instructing the children to leave the room, and then they heard her [Williams] scream and the man ran from the house with a knife or a machete, according to the witnesses,” said the police source.
Williams was subsequently found bleeding. She was taken to hospital where she died while being treated.
Police are now seeking Williams’ spouse as a person of interest in her murder.
