Cops detain high-risk target in St Andrew
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man who police described as a high-risk target, was apprehended by the Area 4 police on Chisholm Avenue, Kingston 11 on Monday afternoon.
The 35-year-old man whose identity police have declined to disclose, was reportedly held after he went to the area to check, upon hearing that lawmen had killed one of his cronies, Eucal Bliss.
He has since been processed and handed over to the St Andrew South Criminal Investigations Branch.
The capture occurred a little more than an hour after members of the Area 4 Fugitive Apprehension Team killed Bliss during a snap operation nearby on Omara Road.Bliss, otherwise called ‘Puppy’, a 39-year-old resident of Omara Road, reportedly engaged the police in a shootout before being shot and killed.
He was reported to be a member of a clique which operates a car-stealing ring in St Andrew.
