Man accused of faking CSEC results in police recruitment bid to return to court
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A young man who allegedly attempted to fake documents for admittance into the police force was ordered to return to court later this year when he appeared before a judge on Tuesday.
Kereffe Boswel was before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court to answer for charges of forgery and uttering forged documents.
Senior Parish Judge Sanchia Burrell noted that the offence was a recurring one, with multiple accused having come before her, and asked Boswell: “Why would you want to join Jamaica’s chief law enforcement through fraud?”
It was revealed in court that the accused had pretended to score a Grade Two in several Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations, including English and Mathematics, as well as a Grade One in CSEC Principles of Business, upon applying to the National Police College of Jamaica.
He is to return to court on May 14th.
