Volunteers Inc launches volunteer engagement app ‘VIbe’
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Local non-profit organisation, Volunteers Inc, has launched an app that it says will provide an innovative digital platform designed to transform how volunteers connect, collaborate and create impact.
Dubbed “VIbe”, the app combines volunteer engagement, social connection, gamification, and project development into a single space.
In a press release on Wednesday, Volunteers Inc said the application is one of the only apps of its kind globally.
The organisation said the platform empowers volunteers and partners not only to participate in initiatives but to propose impactful projects, mobilise support and build community around shared purpose.
Through VIbe, users can connect and socialise with fellow volunteers through gamified experiences and social posts; discover and support community-driven projects; propose initiatives and rally volunteer support; and stay engaged with opportunities aligned to their interests and skills.
“Volunteering should be engaging, inclusive and accessible,” said President of Volunteers Inc, Davor Bailey.
“With VIbe, we’re using technology to remove barriers, spark collaboration and give people a meaningful way to turn ideas into action,” he added.
The organisation says the launch of VIbe represents a major milestone in its mission to modernise volunteering and expand its reach across Jamaica and beyond.
The VIbe app is now available for download on the Google Play Store, with a web-based version also accessible for non-Android users, ensuring broad access and inclusivity across devices.
