London Spirit given edge in I Love February Trophy
Eight runners are down to compete in tomorrow’s running of the $1.05-million I Love February Trophy, a maiden conditioned race for native-bred three-year-olds over 7 furlongs (1,400m).
Below is an analysis of each runner and their chances of winning.
1. LONDON SPIRIT: (3 b c by Bern Identity – Blufield) – Looks like the horse to beat, having finished second in his last two starts. Perfect distance for his running style, London Spirit is tipped to win.
2. ANOTHER QUALITY: (3 ch f by Sensational Slam – Natural Mystical) – Finished third over the straight on February 7. Another Quality is expected to run another pleasing race here.
3. EL CAPITON: (3 ch c by Successful Native – Empress Nicole) – Fourth on debut, but should appreciate the extended distance and could make a brave bid.
4. RED THIRTYTWO: (3 b c by Hedge Fund – Roses for Elle) – On the upgrade. Red Thirtytwo should not be disgraced here.
5. BARBQ: (3 b c by Bern Identity – Dee Q) – Is going to be left behind here.
6. GULFSTREAM CAT: (3 b f by Savoy Stomp – Burning Clearance) – Can safely be bypassed.
7. MR CARTER: (3 b c by Bern Identity – Miss Gabbidon) – Makes his debut here. Mr Cater is not expected to win.
8. ONE IANZHA LINKS: (3 b f by Casual Trick – Nippit) – Finished a good third behind Taylor Made and Giving Thanks on December 21, 2025. One Ianzha Links will appreciate this increase in distance and could be a danger to all.
