No stopping Of a Revolution in Reggae Month Trophy feature
The third running of the $1.4-million Reggae Month Trophy takes centre stage on tomorrow’s 10-race card at Caymanas Park. The Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over 5 furlongs (1,000m) straight has attracted a small field of seven runners.
Below, the Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a close look at each runner and their chances of winning.
1) ATLANTIC CONVOY (CAN): (6 ch h by Stormy Atlantic – My Sweet Emily) – Returns for his second outing for the season after an unplaced effort in the Miracle Man Cup on January 1.
Atlantic Convoy has trained well and could make a presence felt, but isn’t expected to win.
2. BLUE VINYL: (7 ch h by Bern Identity – Blufield) – Won the Chairman’s Plate on December 6, 2025. Blue Vinyl is not expected to repeat here.
3. OF A REVOLUTION (USA): (7 ch h by MacLean’s Music – Hot Spell) – Again found one better when finishing second to Pack Plays on January 31. Of a Revolution is much better than these and if he can get things right here, then this race should not be a contest.
4. ZULU WARRIOR: (5 ch h by Soul Warrior – Lookatmenow) – A winner in a quick 58.0 over this distance on last. Zulu Warrior should again put in a good effort.
5. MIGHTY GULLY: (4 b f by Buzz Nightmare – Lady Exotic) – An improving horse, but unlikely to impact the outcome.
6. MACK AND ROME: (5 b h by Bold Conquest – Gold Miner) – Has no chance of winning here.
7. MONEY MARKET: (6 b h by Successful Native – Soca Dancer) – An easy winner over 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m) on December 26, 2025. Money Market also goes well over the straight and is expected to follow the favourite home here.
