Valiant’s Valentine’s Day essentials
Passenger Princess and Girls Dem Bubble Gum hitmaker Valiant, one of the hottest dancehall acts on the scene, recently signed with liquor brand Campari as its newest brand ambassador.
The deejay, who has embarked on his Passenger Princess Deluxe Tour (this weekend it heads to Canada and New York), is the face of the brand’s newest campaign, Red Passion.
Last week, this writer caught up with Valiant, who shared some essentials for Valentine’s Day.
“The first thing the females always a say, yaw fi ask dem first fi be dem Valentine. To me, its just cringe. A mi woman from mawning, and mi been a do tings fi har, but mi know say, da day ya special,” said Valiant.
He continued, “The first thing is to get some candles – she likes scented candles, then get a robe to create that sexy vibe. We a set the mood, so yuh haffi do it with style. You also need some flowers, get a bouquet and mi ago mash it up and sprinkle the petals dem all over the room.”
According to Valiant, the perfect gift will also help to make the moment special.
“Get her a gift, suppen weh she want. A Van Cleef or suppen,” Valiant said. “Next, mi ago get har a Go Pro camera to video everything inside the room, because da moment ya special.”
Valiant also has some tricks to unleash with his hands on that special female in his life.
“Females like to feel at peace mentally, so mi ago give har a massage with coca butter lotion no oil, and just rub har down,” he confided.
As a musician, music, he said, is a must on Valentine’s Day.
“Have to throw in some music, play her favourite playlist. If she is bad in bed, yuh haffi find a bad playlist,’ he said with a chuckle, while alluding to the fact that he likes to be in control at all times.
“Mi like fi stay long in anything that I do,” he disclosed.
With a busy schedule, Valiant says it’s best to have a partner who understands the demands of his work.
“Spending quality time is important in any relationship. As an artiste always on the move and traveling, yuh have to find a partner who understands the career choice. Females are very emotional when it comes to spending time and communicating,” said Valiant.
Asked if he felt that romance is dead, Valiant was quick to say, “No, we decide if it dead. Yuh have people weh deh from dem inna school to this day.”
And what for him is a killer on Valentine’s Day?
“Not getting any sex,” he said.
