Ice cream shop operator mowed down in Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica — An ice cream shop operator is dead following a car crash on King Street in downtown Kingston on Saturday night.
The deceased has been Tamara Manning, a resident of Fletcher’s Land in the parish.
Observer Online understands that Manning was sitting on the sidewalk in front of her ice cream shop about 10pm, when a car collided with another vehicle and careened off the roadway before mowing her down.
She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The incident was captured on CCTV, which shows the collision occurring after one of the vehicles attempted to overtake the other.
The Kingston Central police are investigating.
