Jamaica’s two-man bobsled team fail to advance to fourth round
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s two-man bobsled team of Shane Pitter and Junior Harris failed to qualify for the fourth and final round of their event at the XXV Winter Olympic Games at the Eugenio Monti Sliding Centre in Cortina d’Ampezzoin Milano on Tuesday despite a massive improvement in the third round.
The team clocked 55.97 seconds after runs of 56.68 seconds and 56.72 seconds in the first and second heats on Monday for a total of 2:49.37 to move one place up to 22nd overall, missing the top 20.
The Jamaicans will turn their attention to the four man event set to start later this week.
Trinidad and Tobago, who were in their second Winter Olympics, finished in 25th place with a time total of 2:51.05 minutes.
