Westmoreland man charged with wounding with intent
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 37-year-old construction worker of Strathbogie, Westmoreland, has been charged with wounding with intent after allegedly shooting a man with a speargun.
Charged is Cashmar Tomlinson of Strathbogie, Westmoreland.
According to the Savanna-la-Mar police, Tomlinson allegedly used a speargun to shoot a man in the chest and then escaped on a bicycle in the area. The man was transported by citizens to the hospital, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition.
Following months of investigation, Tomlinson was arrested during an operation on Monday, and charged with the offence.
His court date is being finalised.
