Government preparing digital assault on bad bureaucracy
PRIME Minister Dr Andrew Holness and his Technology Minister Dr Andrew Wheatley on Tuesday engaged in a double-team tackle on red tape, saying the Government is intent on utilising technology to eliminate bureaucratic inefficiencies that have long slowed growth and weakened Jamaica’s ability to compete globally.
In separate addresses at a forum held on The University of the West Indies, Mona campus in St Andrew, both men reiterated the Government’s position that bad bureaucracy does more than inconvenience citizens, it also undermines national development.
