Amber Connect wins Dubai fleet deal covering 13,000 vehicles
Jamaica-based fleet technology company Amber Connect has signed an agreement with SHIFT Car Rental, a mobility brand under AWR Mobility in Dubai, to deploy its fleet management and telematics platform across 13,000 vehicles in an initial phase.
The deployment will cover part of SHIFT’s United Arab Emirates fleet and includes predictive maintenance, driver analytics, fuel monitoring, and operational data tools, according to a company statement.
SHIFT operates under AWR Mobility, which is part of the AW Rostamani Group, a diversified, family owned business group in the UAE with operations spanning automotive distribution, mobility services, logistics, real estate, retail, financial services and technology.
Sanaa Ouahmane, chief executive officer of AWR Mobility & AWR Trading, said the partnership reflects the group’s investment in data and telematics to improve operational performance and customer experience.
“Today’s mobility landscape is evolving through data, intelligence, and rising customer expectations,” Ouahmane said. “By embedding AI-driven telematics across our fleet we are redefining safety, trust, and convenience while advancing a smarter and more sustainable mobility ecosystem in the UAE.”
Amber Connect said the system will provide fleet-wide visibility into vehicle health and performance with the aim of reducing downtime, improving driver behaviour, and lowering emissions.
Dushyant Savadia, founder and chief executive officer of Amber Connect, said the agreement demonstrates the company’s ability to operate at scale in international markets.
“This partnership with SHIFT and AWR Mobility is a strong validation of our AI capabilities and our ability to deliver at scale in global markets,” Savadia said.
The company said the UAE forms part of its broader international expansion strategy, and described the SHIFT roll-out as one of its largest single-fleet integrations in Dubai to date.
