Schools remain in hunt for rural junior football double
Four schools will continue their quest for the ISSA Rural Area Junior football double when the Burger King Under-14 and Mighty Malt Under-16 quarter-finals kick off Friday afternoon.
Cornwall College, who are unbeaten in both competitions, Glenmuir High, the Under-14 defending champions, Rusea’s High and Manchester High are the teams still in contention to win the double.
In both competitions the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The quarter-finals — which should have started on Tuesday but were pushed back — are to continue on Monday and end on February 26.
The semi-finals are set for March 3, and the finals are to be contested on March 6.
