WATCH: Man shot dead in front 6-year-old son in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man was shot dead by gunmen, reportedly in front his six-year-old son and another relative, on Green Street near Knockpatrick in Manchester on Saturday night.
Relatives identified the man as Cruise Smith, 32, otherwise called “Killa”.
Preliminary reports are that about 7:45 pm, Smith entered a car with his son and another relative when gunmen pounced and opened fire hitting Smith multiple times.
He was rushed to hospital by a relative where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His son narrowly escaped injury.
The shooting happened in the vicinity of a bar where Kevin Brown, 46, otherwise called ‘Cheese’, was gunned down on September 9, 2024.
Just last Sunday police ramped up social intervention activities in the area with a football competition organised for the benefit of residents from Green Street and surrounding communities.
