UK police release ex-envoy Mandelson on bail

LONDON, United Kingdom (AFP) — Former United Kingdom (UK)  ambassador and Government minister Peter Mandelson was released on bail pending further investigation, London police said in the early hours of Tuesday after he was detained over allegations related to Jeffrey Epstein-linked documents.

“A 72-year-old man arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office has been released on bail pending further investigation,” the Metropolitan police said in a statement.
