Kuyah returns to open Jamaica Food and Drink Festival with flavour, fire and acoustics roots
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Food and Drink Festival returns March 5-8, and once again, Kuyah will open the four-day culinary celebration.
The event is set for Thursday, March 5 at Festival Marketplace in Downtown Kingston from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Kuyah has grown into one of the festival’s most anticipated nights. It is where chefs take the flavours we grew up on and reinterpret them in bold, creative ways.
More than 13 chefs will present elevated Jamaican dishes, giving patrons the chance to taste how local cuisine continues to evolve. The experience is fully inclusive, with premium rums, beers and Stone’s available throughout the evening.
This year’s staging also features a live acoustic performance by two-time Grammy-nominated artiste Jesse Royal, powered by Digicel, bringing a strong cultural element to the night.
The Jamaica Food and Drink Festival is proudly presented by Visa and hosted by CB Foods, whose continued partnership supports the growth of Jamaica’s culinary and hospitality industries. Kuyah’s 2026 staging is made possible through the support of several key partners, including Scotiabank, Digicel and Worthy Park.
Among the featured chefs is Chef Scotley Innis, owner of Continent ATL + Brooklyn, whose Caribbean-inspired approach aligns naturally with the spirit of Kuyah.
Tickets for Kuyah are $13,500 and are available at jafoodanddrink.com and at select outlets including Jamaica Food and Drink Kitchen at Progressive Shopping Centre, Uncorked at Sovereign Centre, CPJ Market on Lady Musgrave Road, Genus Pharmacy in Portmore and Bar House.
Kuyah sets the tone for four days of curated food events, culminating in a weekend that highlights Jamaica’s chefs, mixologists and culinary entrepreneurs.
From March 5–8, Kingston will once again become the centre of Caribbean food culture.
