Lime Hall remain perfect in JFF Championship
Lime Hall Academy extended their perfect start to three games after beating Baptist Alliance 6-2 in the Jamaica Football Championships Zone A game at Drax Hall in St Ann on Saturday.
Sajay Anderson scored a double to lead Lime Hall as they condemned the St Thomas-based club to a third loss in four games.
Two other teams won their third game in a row: Sakka Club Brown’s Town edged Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) 1-0 at Drax Hall, and Humble Lion FC blanked Falmouth United 2-0 in the Zone B encounter at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon.
St Ann-based Lime Hall, who got their other goals from Ceejay Gibbs, Carlos Campbell, Imani Beckford and Diego McKenzie, narrowly lead Zone A. Sakka Club Brown’s Town trail Lime Hall on goal-difference after defeating JDF 1-0, thanks to an own goal from Romario Douglas.
It was JDF’s third loss in four games, all by 0-1 margins.
Humble Lion continued their good run, Everald Swaby giving them the lead in the 40th minute. Nathaniel Henry scored his fourth of the season in the 75th minute against winless Falmouth United.
Humble Lion FC improved to 10 points, two more than Roaring River FC, who beat STETHS Elite 4-0 for back-to-back wins.
Kayjaye Williams scored a double for Roaring River in the 77th and 90th minutes after Shamadi Ewen had given them the lead in the 29th minute. Jemoy Smith added their other goal in the 65th minute.
Reno FC also shook off a slow start to win consecutive games, clipping Duncans United 1-0. Reno moved into third place in Zone B on seven points.
