Chris Martin, Gyptian, Beenie Man and Agent Sasco for 100’s anniversary concert
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Recording artiste Christopher Martin, along with other veteran entertainers Gyptian, Agent Sasco, and Beenie Man will be igniting the stage at 100 Kingston’s 10×10 anniversary celebration on Saturday, February 28.
Martin says that his set will be a slew of classics, accentuated by his Jam Donz band.
“It’s a very nice milestone. There are a lot of businesses that come and go, but, they (100 Kingston) have stood the test of time. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already. It means a lot to be a part of the celebration and what better way to celebrate it than with the culture; reggae music, and food. We’re looking forward to having a great night. We have to give the people their money’s worth,” Martin told the Jamaica Observer.
This performance comes on the heels of his new release Don’t Have To Ask, which precedes his upcoming album.
This has set the momentum for his performance this weekend at the celebration where he plans to incorporate new songs.
“The feedback has been amazing. It’s for the lovers and it’s sugar reggae—sweet! It’s melodious and catchy and it has substance. People have been loving it. When they make posts on social media, we can see the interaction. People are loving it and are very involved. It’s always a plus when your home-base is loving it, as well,” he said.
Gates will open at 6:00 pm with showtime at 7:00 pm. General tickets cost $10,000, while VIP ticket holders will pay $25,000.
Each guest performer has endorsed the show as an unforgettable night.
