Homeless man mowed down in St James
ST JAMES, Jamaica — A man believed to be homeless was mowed down along Howard Cooke Boulevard in Montego Bay in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The man, whose identity has not yet been ascertained, succumbed to injuries he sustained as he attempted to cross an intersection in the area.
According to reports, just after midnight, he was first struck by a car travelling towards the town centre and was again struck by another car soon after.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The man was clad in black at the time of the incident.
According to eyewitness reports, the man was seen earlier in the night walking along the same roadway multiple times.
