KINGSTON, Jamaica — Former champions Mt Pleasant FA avenged their surprise loss to Harbour View a week ago, hammering the east Kingston club 4-1 in their rescheduled Jamaica Premier League game played at Drax Hall on Wednesday.

A week earlier, Harbour View had ambushed Mt Pleasant FA 1-0 in a first-round rescheduled game played at Harbour View, but two goals from Raheem Edwards saw the St Ann-based team overtake Portmore United for second place on 44 points and move to within a point of second-placed Racing United.

Edwards scored in the fourth and 76th minutes to take his goals tally to 11 goals so far in the season.

Shaqueil Bradford and Samuel Taylor both came off the bench to score in the 84th and 88th minutes to secure the win.

Harbour View’s Tryvone Reid scored a late consolation, his fourth goal in his last three games. He has scored Harbour View’s last five goals, taking over the golden boot race with 13 goals.

Also on Wednesday, defending champions Cavalier SC came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Treasure Beach FC at the St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) Sports Complex.

At STETHS, Cavalier SC missed a chance to return to the top six when they were held to a draw and are in seventh place on 30 points, ahead of eighth-place Arnett Gardens on goal-difference and a point behind sixth-place Waterhouse FC.

Raheem Porter gave Treasure Beach the lead in the 33rd minute, scoring in back-to-back games before Jerome McLeary levelled for Cavalier SC in the 66th minute.
