Indecom investigating police fatal shooting in Coral Gardens
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The Independent Commission of Investigations (Indecom) says it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of three men, who were fatally shot during an alleged altercation with the security forces on Thursday night in Coral Gardens, St James.
Reports are that the men and the police were engaged in a shootout in the community in the late hours of the night. When the shooting subsided, the men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

Indecom in a media release, urged members of the public with information who can assist in identifying the individuals, to contact it.
Indecom said 19 individuals have been shot and killed during the month of February, 2026 by members of the security forces. Meanwhile, 47 people have been killed since the start of the year.
