Skeng and more for SOAK’D
SOAK’D, the ultimate water fete, has gotten even cooler. The latest staging of the event, which is set for Friday, will double as the birthday celebration for dancehall artiste Skeng.
Scheduled to be held at Stadium East, the event will also feature topflight DJs and guest appearances by the likes of Govana, Spice and Tommy Lee Sparta.
Fyahman, a director of SOAK’D, told the Jamaica Observer: “Patrons can expect a high-energy, performance-driven water experience. SOAK’D is not just a water party, it is a full-scale production that fuses live performances, immersive visuals, premium sound, and a charged atmosphere. It delivers the intensity of a major dancehall concert with the freedom and excitement of a true water fete.”

Fyahman shared that the event will not focus on one genre of music.
“While this edition highlights dancehall, the SOAK’D brand is not limited to one genre. It also embraces soca and wider Caribbean influences, and we are preparing a major staging that will lean heavily into that energy in the near future. The long-term vision is to position SOAK’D as a multi-genre, culturally rich water experience that sits comfortably within the regional carnival and festival space,” he said.
“While this staging celebrates Skeng’s birthday, SOAK’D is curated as a multi-act experience. Skeng headlines the celebration, but he will be sharing the stage with major acts including Spice, Govana, Tommy Lee Sparta, and more,” Fyahman disclosed.
Chilling out at SOAK’D
The organisers have assembled a cadre of DJs to keep patrons entertained. Leading the charge are Bloodline Franco, Kevi the Kinetic, Bahamian DJ Rann, who will be marshalling the soca segments, bringing authentic carnival energy and seamless transitions.
JJ Deadlock, DJ Mac x Baba, Deva Kidd and Bad Twin x Pickett will be controlling the dancehall segments, ensuring the intensity and vibe remain at peak levels.
“The structure is intentional. Each segment is curated to deliver a cohesive and dynamic musical experience,” said Fyahman.
The water came down at SOAK’D
The first staging of SOAK’D took place three years ago and, according to Fyahman, the event has evolved.
“What began as a personal celebration was executed with a clear theme and water-based identity, and the response from patrons immediately signaled that it had the potential to grow into something much larger,” he said.
“That moment laid the foundation for SOAK’D as a structured event brand rather than a one-time occasion. SOAK’D has evolved from a birthday concept into a structured and scalable event brand,” Fyahman continued. “The production quality has increased, the artist lineup has expanded, the DJ programming has become more intentional, and the marketing strategy has matured.”
