Three men killed in shootout with police in Coral Gardens
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Three men, alleged to be members of a criminal enterprise, were fatally shot during an alleged altercation with the security forces on Thursday night.
Reports are that the men and the police engaged in a shootout in the community of Coral Gardens during the late hours of the night.
When the shooting subsided, the men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
There were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has confirmed that a team has been dispatched to the scene.
