Four bartenders arrested for breaching Manchester curfew
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police are reporting that four bartenders were arrested and charged and another warned for breaching a nightly curfew in the Knockpatrick area of Manchester on Friday night.
Those charged are Chicketa Allen, 50, a resident of Albion; Tessica Bennett, 52, a resident of Albion; Tashera Cohen, 27, a resident of Buttup district, Manchester; and Donnalisa Barrett, 29, a resident of Newlands district, Barnstable.
Acting commander for the Manchester police, Deputy Superintendent Luhas Daniels, is reminding residents and business operators that Knockpatrick and surrounding areas remain under curfew.
“The area is under curfew since the upsurge [in violence] and we are impacting the space by [imposing the curfew] with our surveillance targeted raids and through our operations four persons were arrested and charged for the breaching of the Curfew Act,” he said.
Police have tightened security measures in the Knockpatrick area and its surroundings since the murder of Cruise Smith a week ago on Green Street.
