NISOU releases ‘Love Like This’

Emerging artiste NISOU delivered a heartfelt new chapter with her second single Love Like This, now available on all major streaming platforms.

Released under Emotica Republic, the record is produced by the powerhouse trio Reggie Crux, Neegle and TS87, and mixed and mastered by Nathaniel Wing. A genre-bending track that fuses infectious rhythms, sensual lyricism and unmistakable confidence, Love Like This, continues to position NISOU as a bold new voice set to shake up the music scene.

The single showcases NISOU’s unique sonic identity—blending reggae, neo-soul and alt-R&B with raw emotion and a magnetic edge. Though Kit Kat marked her official debut, Love Like This is more than a follow-up—it’s a statement.

“Love Like This was inspired by the kind of love that sneaks up on you so gently… all from one simple kiss. I’ve never been in love like this before— the kind where you feel safe, seen and completely understood. It wasn’t loud or dramatic. It was soft. It was easy. It was real,” she said.

The song captures the moment you realise you’re in too deep— when someone becomes your best friend, your safe place and your favorite person all at once. It’s about loving someone who feels like home. Someone you laugh with, dream with and imagine forever with.

While Kit Kat marked her official debut, NISOU’s musical journey began long before the studio lights.

In 2009, she entered the JCDC (Jamaica Cultural Development Commission) competition, taking an early step toward her artistic path. In 2013, she served as choir captain for St Hilda’s Diocesan High School during All Together Sing Jamaica, leading her team with passion and poise. She later earned runner-up in the Popeyes Jamaica “Music to Your Mouth” competition in 2022.

In 2024, NISOU made visual cameos in two major music videos—YG Marley’s viral hit Praise Jah in the Moonlight and Protoje’s Legend— expanding her presence within the modern reggae and soul movement. She also served as the photographer for the album artwork of Protoje’s Legend project, highlighting her creative range behind the lens.

Her artistic foundation was further strengthened through training at the Ashe Company Performing Arts Summer Programme.

Rooted in Jamaica, NISOU draws inspiration from Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and Bob Marley, crafting a sound that is both deeply personal and globally resonant. As an independent artiste, her DIY spirit and magnetic presence are already capturing the attention of early fans and tastemakers.

Love Like This is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major digital streaming platforms.
