Children among 5 injured in multi-vehicle crash in Portmore

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Five people, including three children, were taken to hospital on Wednesday morning after a six-vehicle collision along the Bridgeport main road in Portmore, St Catherine.

Reports indicate that around 7:00 am, a Toyota Townace travelling east attempted to overtake a line of vehicles. During the manoeuvre, it crashed into the front-right side of a BMW that was also heading in the same direction and making a right turn.

The impact caused the Toyota Townace, which was carrying three children, to overturn.

Observer Online understands that five people sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
