Former BGLC clerk pleads guilty to failing to file statutory declaration with IC
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A former cashier and accounting clerk at the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC) pleaded guilty in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court to failing to file his statutory declaration with the anti-corruption body, the Integrity Commission (IC), for the year 2023.
Daniel Jumpp pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before Parish Judge Ruth-Ann Robinson on Tuesday.
According to a 2025 IC investigation report, Jumpp failed to submit his 2023 statutory declaration to the commission by the due date and provided no reasonable explanation for his failure.
The IC’s director of investigation subsequently recommended that the matter be referred to the director of corruption prosecution for consideration.
Jumpp is scheduled to return to court on March 24 for sentencing.
