PAJ salutes 2025 veterans

SIX media practitioners, with a combined more than 200 years of service, were honoured on Wednesday at the 2025 Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) Veterans Luncheon.

Hosted by J Wray & Nephew at its New Kingston corporate headquarters, the luncheon was used to toast the six for their contributions to the Jamaican media landscape over the years.

The PAJ is staging its Journalism Week celebrations for 2025 this week after Hurricane Melissa forced the postponement last November.

Today the annual media workshop will be conducted in partnership with UNICEF Jamaica. This year the workshop will focus on ‘Ethical Reporting on Children’.

The week will end on Saturday with the National Journalism Awards, which will have at as its high point the announcement of the 2025 Journalist of the Year.
