JUTC bus catches fire on Lady Musgrave

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus caught fire along Lady Musgrave Road in Kingston at about 6:20 am on Friday.

Observer Online understands that the bus, which was travelling on the Route 83 corridor which runs from Downtown to Halfway Tree, had approximately 40 passengers on board when the blaze started.

Passengers were reportedly able to disembark the vehicle safely before the fire spread, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters later responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
