Of a Revolution looks unstoppable in SVREL 9th Anniversary Trophy feature
The $1.75-million Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) 9th Anniversary Trophy (G1) takes centre stage on tomorrow’s 11-race card at Caymanas Park.
A small field of six runners will face the starter in the Graded Stakes/Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m) with the Anthony “Baba” Nunes-conditioned
Of a Revolution emerging as the morning line favourite.
The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a closer look at the runners and their chances of winning the race.
1. MONEY MARKET: (6 b h by Successful Native – Soca Dancer) – Beats Of a Revolution into third place in the Reggae Month Trophy over 5 furlongs (1,000m) straight on February 14. Despite that impressive showing, expect Money Market to play second fiddle to Of a Revolution this time around.
Money Market has shown promise, but Of a Revolution’s class might be too much.
2. ZULU WARRIOR : (5 ch h by Soul Warrior – Lookatmenow) – Looks well held by the top two runners. Zulu Warrior will struggle to get by Of a Revolution and Money Market. Zulu Warrior’s best bet is to stay focused and hope for a mistake from the leaders.
3. ALLEGIANCE: (5 ch h by Midnight Hawk – Princess Geeta) – No chance of winning, just making up numbers. Allegiance is outclassed in this field.
4. OF A REVOLUTION (USA): (7 ch h MacLean’s Music – Hot Spell) – Winless from three starts this season, but should win comfortably. Of a Revolution has the class and talent to put the others away. Of a Revolution’s pedigree and form suggest he’s the one to beat.
5. SMART TRICK: (5 b h by Casual Trick – Crafty Lady) – Will struggle to compete against these. Smart Trick’s lack of class will count against him.
6. INSPIRE FORCE (USA): (6 ch h by Union Jackson – Exotic Design) – Not recommended for a winning run. Inspire Force’s form is inconsistent, and he’s unlikely to trouble the leaders
