Lilliput Rovers can take lead in Zone B of Sandals Major League
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Lilliput Rovers can take over the lead in Zone B of the St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League today with a win over Montego Bay Boys Club at the UDC field.
Lilliput Rovers are second in Zone B on five points, two behind leaders Heights FC who play Cambridge United at Jarrett Park on Sunday. Montego Bay Boys Club are on three points from their three games.
Also today, Reggae Youths will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Granville United at the Granville Community Centre, and MoBay City FC hosts Bogue FC at WesPow Park.
On Sunday, Faulkland FC will be going after a fourth straight win when they face Wadada FC at Jarrett Park while on Monday, Norwood Strikers and Real MoBay AFC will meet at Albion.
Boys Club who started the season with a win, have lost back-to-back games and will hope to get the better of Lilliput Rovers today but must improve their defence that has conceded four goals in their last two games.
Reggae Youths will start favourites against Granville United who were hammered 7-0 by Faulkland FC last week after they were held 0-0 by Wadada FC. Reggae Youths opened the season with a win over Montego Bay United Youths and will be confident of three more points today.
MoBay City FC should also get three more points when they take on Bogue FC, who are coming off their first win of the season. MoBay City are in third place in Zone B on four points from two games and will be expected to give the Bogue FC defence a lot of work for the full 90 minutes.
