HUMBLE releases Pray and Praise
AWARD-WINNING gospel acapella group HUMBLE released its most recent single
Pray and Praise last month.
Produced by Richard Spencer and group member Albert Justin Walker, the song is a call for prayer and reverence.
“The song was born out of a realisation that, as Christians, we tend to praise after the victory and worry while we are going through it. We want to develop a posture of perpetual worship and praise not just in the good times, but in the bad,” group member Chevaughn Walker told the Jamaica Observer on Friday.
The song is accompanied by a music video, directed by Zachary Ross, and which was shot on location along the Palisadoes main road in east Kingston.
Walker says the group is heartened by the positive response that the song has received since its release.
“All positives! Our friends and supporters love the simplicity of the chorus and how catchy and encouraging the song is to vibe to. Most importantly, how relatable the words are. That’s what we want to create, songs that connect to the heart,” Walker shared.
Formed in 2005 with three members, today HUMBLE has six members. They are brothers Albert and Julan Walker, Chevaughn Walker (no relation), Errol Martin, Daniel Davis, and Aaron Cummings.
In 2016, the group released the EP titled Genesis. Seven years later the group’s first full-length studio album Decalogue: The Heart Work was released.
The acronym HUMBLE means Hearts United Minds Bonded in Love For Eternity.
