Boom Energy Drink returns as official sponsor of the 2026 All Star Sound Clash
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Boom Energy Drink has officially returned as the title sponsor of the 2026 All Star Sound Clash, reaffirming its commitment to supporting sound system culture and the continued growth of one of the most respected clash platforms in the industry.
In a release, the company shared that now in its 10th year, the All Star Sound Clash has established itself as a cornerstone event for emerging and established sound systems looking to prove their dominance on the clash stage.
The event was founded by respected music producers Author “Author Wale” Amos and Anthony “New Kid” Bennett, who initially launched the event as a weekly party before adding the competitive sound clash element that quickly captured the attention of the dancehall community.
After taking a break during the COVID-19 pandemic, the clash made its highly anticipated return in 2023, continuing its mission of creating a space where sound systems can showcase creativity, lyrical skill, and crowd control.
Over the years, the All Star Sound Clash has produced winners and participants who have gone on to become household names in the sound system industry. Legendary sounds such as Bass Odyssey, Fire Links, Ricky Trooper, and Likkle Shabba have all been part of the clash’s rich history. The event has also welcomed international competitors who have helped spread sound system culture globally, including Yaad Beat (Japan), King Addies (New York City), Rebel Tone (Canada), and Dynamic (Africa).
The 2026 edition will feature 11 weeks of intense competition, as participating sound systems battle weekly before a final champion is crowned. Sounds confirmed for this year’s clash include High Grade International, Super Solid Sound, Red Heat Sound System, Top Class Sound, Sound Revolution, Code Red Sound, and Game Changers.
For co-founder Anthony “New Kid” Bennett, the goal is to continue building the clash into an enduring cultural institution.
“Our vision has always been to build something with lasting impact. We want the All Star Sound Clash to continue growing in legacy and become a household name in sound system culture,” Bennett said. “Boom Energy coming back on board felt like a homecoming. The brand understands the culture and the energy that sound clash brings, so it’s a natural partnership.”
Marketing Coordinator for Boom Energy Drink, Kadechah Henry echoed the brand’s enthusiasm about returning as sponsor.
“Boom Energy Drink has always been about supporting events where culture and creativity thrive, especially within the dancehall” Henry said.
“The All Star Sound Clash represents the heart of sound system culture, and we’re proud to continue partnering with an event that gives both new and upcoming sounds a platform to showcase their skills.”
With Boom Energy once again powering the competition and offering a grand prize of one million Jamaican dollars, along with several sectional prizes, the 2026 All Star Sound Clash promises 11 weeks of electrifying performances, fierce musical battles, and unforgettable moments for fans of sound system culture.
Patrons can support the event held Thursdays starting at 11:00 pm at the All Star HQ located on 153 Olympic Way, Kingston 20.
