Man dies in Manchester crash, two others injured

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash on the Pen Hill main road in Manchester on Thursday.

His name has not yet been released by the police. However, grieving staff from the National Water Commission (NWC) said he worked with the entity.

Preliminary reports are that about 1:30 pm a Toyota Wish was traveling uphill when it collided head on with a Suzuki Swift traveling downhill.

The impact resulted in the cars being mangled. Firefighters and motorists assisted in removing three injured people from the vehicles.

They were taken to hospital where the man was pronounced dead on arrival.
