Over 200 children to participate in Kiwanis Builders and K-Kids Clubs ‘Rally for the Climate 2026’
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Builders Clubs and K-Kids Clubs from the Jamaica District’s Division 23 East and Division 23 Central Kiwanis Clubs will host more than 200 primary and basic school-aged children for a climate awareness rally on Saturday, March 14.
It will be held at the Hope United Church Hall, 221 Old Hope Road, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The event, dubbed “Rally for the Climate 2026,” is powered by the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) and will expose students to a series of engaging activities designed to build awareness about climate change and environmental responsibility.
Participants will take part in a special awareness session, song and dance activities centred on climate action, a climate change treasure hunt, interactive games, and an environmental poster competition. The rally will conclude with a talent show and awards ceremony.
The initiative aims to increase children’s knowledge and understanding of climate change, their responsibilities as citizens, and practical climate action.
Other event sponsors include PACE (Positive Attitudes Courtesies and Ethics) Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited Group, Bellevue Hospital, Kremi, and Lasco.
