Skippa and Top Banks to excite patrons at Jaii Frais and DJ Mac’s Bashment
High-riding dancehall artiste Skippa and social media sensation turned recording artiste Top Banks are the scheduled performers for Friday night’s staging of Wray and Nephew’s Bashment, the birthday celebratory event hosted by podcaster Jaii Frais and top producer DJ Mac.
The event is scheduled for Sabina Park and is sponsored by Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum, a brand which recently named DJ Mac as its ambassador.
“Wray & Nephew has always been deeply rooted in Jamaican culture, and Bashment represents an authentic celebration of the music, energy and people that shape our identity,” Kerry Ann Bryan, brand manager for Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum, told Observer Online on Thursday.
“This event is particularly meaningful as it honours DJ Mac, one of our newest ambassadors and someone who continues to make a real impact within the culture. It also reflects the work of Jaii Frais, who consistently pushes the boundaries of entertainment and creates spaces where dancehall can thrive,” she continued.
Bryan added, “Supporting Bashment aligns perfectly with Wray & Nephew’s commitment to championing the culture and the creatives who continue to move it forward.”
She said patrons can expect the vibrant energy that typically comes with a Wray & Nephew partnership.
“The brand will be present through engaging experiences, exciting performances and immersive moments that celebrate dancehall culture. Of course, there will also be a range of signature Wray & Nephew cocktails available for patrons to enjoy responsibly as part of the overall experience,” Bryan shared.
Skippa who has been riding high on the charts with songs including WYFL, Pizzaman, Too Mad (featuring Feloni19), and Duppy Man Style, is sure to please his growing fan base as he unleashes his popular hits.
Top Banks has two songs currently trending, which have racked up significant views, namely Papers and Yuh Think Ehh Tek Bwoy.
Music will be provided by A-Team, DJ Banka, Kevi Di Kinetic, ZJ Romzi, and Bishop Escobar.
