19-y-o found dead in Manchester, suicide suspected
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police are now trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of a teenager who is suspected to have committed suicide in Manningsfield district, south Manchester.
Police identified the teen as Chevanice Williams, 19, a resident of Manningsfield district in Manchester.
Police said that about 11:00 am on Wednesday, a relative discovered that Williams was unresponsive at home and took her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police said it was also discovered that there was a green substance coming from her mouth.
Detectives are awaiting an autopsy to conclude their investigation into the teen’s death.
Just a year ago, Williams was overjoyed as she delivered a vote of thanks after her family was presented with the keys to their new three-bedroom home in Manningsfield by Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness under the social housing programme.
