KINGSTON, Jamaica — MFS Capital Partners Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to acquire a 100 per cent stake in Century Business Machines Limited (CBM), in a move aimed at expanding its portfolio and boosting revenues.

The agreement, signed March 18, sets the framework for the proposed acquisition, which the company says represents a key step in its growth strategy.

The announcement was made by Chief Executive Officer Dino Hinds during the company’s fourth annual general meeting on Thursday, where he pointed to CBM’s strong market position and established customer base.

“We are very excited at the signing of this MOU,” Hinds said, adding that the deal aligns with the company’s focus on acquiring profitable, scalable businesses.

Century Business Machines is a long-standing provider of office supplies, technology solutions and office furniture in Jamaica, serving businesses across multiple sectors.

MFS Capital, a private equity firm listed on the Jamaica Junior Stock Exchange, said the acquisition is intended to strengthen its revenue base and support broader diversification efforts beyond its core financial services operations.

The deal remains subject to due diligence, the negotiation and execution of final agreements, and any required regulatory approvals.

The company said it will provide further updates to shareholders in line with Jamaica Stock Exchange disclosure requirements.
