Lilliput Rovers and Bogue square off again in Sandals Major League
ST JAMES, Jamaica — A week after playing out a 0-0 draw, Lilliput Rovers and Bogue Football Club (FC) will meet at Spot Valley High as the return round of the St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League kicks off with two games.
Bogue Football Club are third in Zone B on seven points, one more than Lilliput Rovers, both from five games played. If Saturday’s game produces a winner, they would take over second place.
Also Saturday, MoBay City and Cambridge United will meet at WesPow Park for the first time this season, after their first round game was awarded to MoBay City as the Cambridge field was not prepared.
On Sunday, Montego Bay United Youths will be going after three wins in an eight-day span when they take on Real MoBay AFC in the first game of a double header at Jarrett Park followed by Faulkland FC facing Reggae Youths.
After upsetting Faulkland FC 1-0 at Jarrett Park on Monday, MBU Youths came from a goal down to beat Wadada FC 2-1 on Thursday in Mt Salem.
Leonardo Crossbourne gave Wadada FC the lead in the 12th minute but Clevon Campbell equalised for MBU Youths in the 30th minute and Grandahni Messado scored the winner in the 83rd.
Also on Thursday, Norwood Strikers held Reggae Youths to a 1-1 draw at Albion; Renaldo Waldo gave Norwood the lead after just a minute but Reggae Youths managed to salvage a point when Romario Lewis equalised in the 43rd minute.
