World Indoors: Megan Simmonds through to women’s 60m hurdles semis
Megan Simmonds is through to the semi-finals of the women’s 60m hurdles at the World Athletics Indoor Championships after winning her first round heat in an impressive 7.89 seconds on Sunday at the Kujawsko-Pomorska Arena in Toruń, Poland.
Simmonds was just outside her personal best 7.88 seconds that she ran earlier this year and will be hoping to get past the semi-finals where she ended her first world indoors two years ago in Glasgow, Scotland.
The other Jamaican, Oneka Wilson failed to get past the first round, finishing seventh in 8.12 seconds.
