#Champs2026: Wolmer’s Tiana Marshall takes gold in Class 1 girls 100m hurdles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Wolmer’s Girls’ Tiana Marshall, who had broken the meet record in the semis on Friday, duly obliged by winning the gold medal in the Class 1 girls 100m hurdles of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships at the National Stadium, running 13.33 seconds (-2.0m/s).
Less than 18 hours earlier, she had broken the meet record with a sublime 12.98 seconds, but raced into a strong headwind on Saturday.
St Jago High’s Bryana Davidson took the silver medal in 14.06 seconds, with Excelsior High’s Amoi Kentish winning the bronze medal with 14.10 seconds.
Akeelah Bell, also of Wolmer’s High, won the Class 2 100m hurdles final, running 13.32 seconds (-1.8m/s) to beat Hydel High’s Annieka Carnegie— 13.43 seconds and St Jago’s Martina Parkes— 13.64 seconds, the exact order they had placed in the semis on Friday.
Edwin Allen High’s Tashana Godfrey equaled the meet record set on Friday by Alpha Academy’s Azaria Harris, running 10.80 seconds (-3.4m/s) to retain her Class 3 80m hurdles title.
She had run a wind-aided 10.75 seconds in Friday’s semis as Harris took the silver on Saturday with 10.96 seconds, and Edwin Allen’s Danelia Clarke was third with 11.14 seconds.
Hydel High’s Keneisha Robinson had won the first gold of the day after she had run 10.68 seconds (-0.6m/s) to win the girls Class 4 70m hurdles title.
Vere Technical’s Jahmara Osbourne was second with 10.70 seconds, and Aleisha McDonald of Convent of Mercy Alpha Academy was third in 10.78 seconds.
