Cassandra Glory releases I Love the Lord
After a brief career in secular music, Cassandra Keise (now known as Cassandra Glory) decided to follow a path of righteousness.
“I decided to give up secular music for gospel because, after trying different avenues in the secular world, nothing was working out in my favour. So, after singing in the church choir for many years, I decided to go gospel,” Cassandra Glory told the Jamaica Observer recently.
A born-again Christian since her late teens, she began recording gospel music in 2012. To date, she has released one full-length body of work.
“I released an EP titled Cassie-Nova in 2013. However, since I was much younger and was unaware of the ins and outs of releases, I’m not even sure how that release went, as I could not find some of the songs on the EP, except a track My Everything,” she shared.
On March 27 she released her latest single I Love the Lord, a collaboration with Dacosta Muzic.
The song speaks about her relationship with the Lord and how far he has carried her through several adversities.
“I would describe my journey in Christianity as fulfilling. I praise my God every day and give him all the glory. I would say that I am not the typical Christian who wears long dresses down to my knees and tie my head, but I am a sophisticated and well put together young lady with a bubbly personality. I believe that I was created to be my own creative self and that’s exactly who I am,” said Cassandra Glory.
Since her entry into the gospel music fraternity, she has worked with producers including Selah Muzic Productions and Dacosta Muzic.
Originally from Westmoreland, she resided in Kingston before migrating to Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended multiple churches, including the Sanctuary of His Presence Kingdom Ministries.
She has shared stages with several acts including Travis Greene, Papa San, DJ Nicholas, and Jason Mighty.
