Welcome to Jamrock reggae cruise returns with star-studded November showcase
Following the disruption caused by Hurricane Melissa in 2025, the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise is expected to set sail again this November, bringing world-class entertainment to a global community bound by infectious rhythm of reggae music.
Scheduled for November 11–16, 2026, the internationally celebrated reggae experience will once again transform the luxury vessel Norwegian Joy into a floating festival of Jamaican music and culture, bringing together more than 50 artistes, DJs, and legendary sound systems for five immersive days at sea.
Co-founded and curated by multi-Grammy-Award-winning reggae star Damian Marley alongside long-time manager Dan Dalton, the event has grown into one of the most significant reggae showcases, establishing its unique ability to blend premium travel with an unparalleled musical line-up.
“It’s like a family reunion; one place where we come together and we know we’re gonna see each other every year,” Damian Marley shared in a release. “We’re all here for one purpose at the end of the day, and that’s our shared love for reggae music.”
The 2026 voyage will feature among the artistes confirmed Stephen Marley, Burning Spear, Sizzla, Capleton, Protoje, Barrington Levy, Elephant Man, Junior Reid, Lila Iké, Ding Dong, Gyptian, Richie Spice, Ghost, Sevana among others.
The cruise will also showcase renowned sound systems including Stone Love, King Jammy Superpower, Silverhawk, Renaissance Sound, Federation Sound, and Warrior Sound as the cruise ushers in a reintroduction of its famed SoundClash at Sea.
But beyond the performances, the cruise also offers cruisers an opportunity to participate in artiste meet-and-greets, dancehall dance instruction, fitness classes, yoga and sound bath meditation sessions, as well as the spiritually grounded Nyabinghi Sunrise Sessions.
A special addition for the 2026 voyage will be a live theatrical production produced and directed by legendary Jamaican playwright and actor Oliver Samuels, which will be staged twice during the cruise.
The culinary experience is also set to receive an elevated touch this year with curated Jamaican cuisine.
For co-founder Dalton, the vision behind Jamrock has always been about more than simply hosting concerts at sea.
“From the beginning, the vision was to create an experience that represents Jamaican music and culture at the highest level — not just on stage, but across every part of the journey,” he said.
“Eleven years in, Jamrock has grown into something that brings together world-class talent, authentic sound system culture, and a global community in one place. Returning to Jamaica is an important part of that story, and the connection between the artistes, the fans and the culture is what continues to set this experience apart,” he added.
