More demand for South Coast housing as Treasure Bay Estates records high sales
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Bernard Henry—executive chairman of Great Bay Joint Venture Company— developers of Treasure Bay Estates in St Elizabeth, says there has been growing demand for property on Jamaica’s south coast.
Henry and his team have recorded a 70 per cent mark in lots sold at the development, to date.
“From the onset, our focus has been to enhance the natural character of Treasure Beach through a development that is refined, intentional, and seamlessly integrated into its surroundings. The strong response underscores the global recognition of this extraordinary coastal destination,” he said.
“With 70 per cent of the available villa lots already claimed, the remaining opportunities are both limited and highly coveted. Each lot offers sweeping ocean views, expansive open spaces, and the unmistakable prestige of one of Jamaica’s premier coastal communities. Treasure Bay Estates is more than a residence; it is a legacy, a harmonious blend of design, nature, and elevated living,” said Henry.
Spanning 44 acres of elevated coastline, the development will include 130 villa lots, designed around long-term sustainability and organised growth. Its elevated setting offers sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea along the south coast, allowing many home sites to capture uninterrupted ocean vistas.
Following the passage of Hurricane Melissa last year, which ravaged a huge part of the parish, the development was reported to have remained unscathed.
“We are seeing a profound shift toward the south coast, not just as a real estate market, but as a global lifestyle destination,” said real estate broker and director Nevin Nish of Keller Williams Jamaica Realty.
He added: “Treasure Bay Estates continues to redefine what it means to live on Jamaica’s coast. It is more than property; it is a statement of refined taste and foresight.”
Noting that the community embodies the next era of Jamaican coastal living, with sophistication, natural beauty, and exclusivity converge he said “The third city vision is accelerating that transformation, and Treasure Beach sits at the heart of that trajectory. The south coast is emerging as one of the Caribbean’s most compelling investment and lifestyle corridors, and Treasure Beach sits at its epicentre.”
