KINGSTON, Jamaica – From the biggest Carnival in the world to Jamaica Carnival, cultural exchange agency Ital Conexões, is presenting Domingo è Legal x Worl Dance bringing what organisers say is a Brazilian flair to Jamaica next Sunday, April 5.

The event marks the first edition of an international series connecting two cultural powerhouses: Brazil and Jamaica in line with the purpose of Ital Conexões.

Organisers say guests of the event, which will be free before 5:00 pm, can expect an immersive sonic journey featuring genres such as Afrobeats, Dancehall, Funk, Reggae, Soca, Hip Hop, Pagode, and Amapiano, a carefully curated blend that reflects shared histories and evolving global sounds.

The event will be held at Dubwise Café at 82 Lady Musgrave Road in Kingston, from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

Ital Conexões is a cultural exchange platform bridging Jamaica and Brazil through music, travel, art, language, and more. The agency says while it supports movement between both countries, at its core, Ital Conexões connects two powerful creative cultures, allowing people to see themselves through another language and perspective.

Founded by Anita Abrams, a British-born nomad of Caribbean origin, the platform is driven by her passion for music, arts, and cultural exchange. After living in Brazil and witnessing the natural yet underexplored connections between Brazil and Jamaica, she was inspired to create a space that makes it easier to bring these two worlds closer together.

She is joined by her Jamaican counterpart and co-producer for the event, Rashida Grant.

Leading the musical journey are Murillo Carvalho of Domingo è Legal (Brazil) and Paul “DJ Stamma” Watson of Worl Dance (Jamaica).

The other guest deejays are Papi Jae from Trinidad and Tobago, and Anash from Jamaica.

Domingo è Legal is a São Paulo-born cultural and music experience, uniting DJs, singers, MCs, and visual artists.

Rooted in Black diaspora sounds from Samba and Samba-Rock to Funk, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, and Amapiano. It celebrates rhythms that connect cultures and communities. “Domingo è Legal” means “Sunday is Nice,” leaving guests with the feeling of a truly great Sunday.

Worl Dance is an event that fuses world music with Dancehall and Sound System culture.

It features curated DJ sets, and unique experiences that bring global culture to the dance floor. The event creates a space for music discovery, creativity, and an innovative nightlife experience.

Beyond the music, the event offers a rich lineup of cultural experiences designed to transport attendees across borders, including a complimentary Caipirinha drink— National Cocktail of Brazil, freshly made tapioca treats, and interactive moments and giveaways. The  visual arts and creative installations include Brazilian artist Nicole Kush, and Bad Art Gallery, led by Joshua Solas from Jamaica. Organisers say the experience is designed to attract a diverse and creative audience. Patrons enter free before 5:00pm, while paying $1,500 for men and $1,000 for women from 5:00 pm onwards.
