Luscious Beauty Spa provides relaxation and rejuvenation in Spanish Town
KINGSTON, Jamaica — One local couple is revamping what relaxation looks like, incorporating an all-in concept that utilises technology and social wellness with the Luscious Beauty Spa, located in the heart of Greendale, Spanish Town.
The Smiths, owners of Luscious Beauty Spa, said their goal is simple: provide a relaxing environment where clients can feel confident, refreshed and pampered.
“We wanted to create an environment where people could come in, relax and leave feeling better about themselves,” Maurice Smith, co-owner of Luscious Beauty Spa, told Observer Online. “Beauty and wellness go hand-in-hand, and we focused on giving each client personal attention so they feel comfortable and valued and we have achieved that level of ambience.”
The spa, which officially opened in November 2024, has already attracted a loyal customer base from across St Catherine and neighbouring parishes.
It often combines traditional massage with holistic methods like Reiki and sound baths. Key treatments include massages, facials, waxing, vagacials, nail care, nail enhancements, pedicures, skincare treatments, and other beauty maintenance services.
Since opening, the business has steadily built a reputation for high hygienic standards, professional service and a welcoming atmosphere. According to the owners, one of the spa’s defining features is its commitment to personalised care.
“At Luscious Beauty Spa, every client is treated as an individual,” his wife Ann-Marie shared. “We take the time to understand their needs and recommend treatments that help them look and feel their best.”
These services reflect a growing trend in the beauty industry where self-care and wellness are closely connected. In today’s high-paced, helter-skelter world, the spa is an oasis of peace. The spa owners noted a marked increase in clients seeking services that help manage stress, fatigue and the pressures of everyday life.
“Many of our clients come in not just for beauty treatments but also to relax and unwind,” Maurice noted. “With long work hours and busy schedules, people are looking for spaces where they can take time for themselves.”
In a short time, Luscious Beauty Spa has also gained attention beyond its immediate community. The business has provided services for several business professionals and social media personalities, including social media influencer JD_UNT and travel content creator Ton Travel.
The social media influencers’ visits to the spa were later highlighted on their respective social media platforms, helping to introduce the business to a wider online audience.
“That kind of exposure has been very encouraging for us,” Ann-Marie said. “When influencers and public figures share their experiences at the spa, it helps people see the quality of service we provide.”
Despite the growing visibility, the owners emphasise that maintaining client privacy and consistent service quality remains a top priority. Looking ahead, the Smiths said they remain committed to expanding the brand while continuing to serve their community.
“Our vision is to continue growing Luscious Beauty Spa into a trusted name in beauty and wellness,” Maurice said. “We want people to know that when they come to us, they will receive professional service in a comfortable and welcoming space.”
